Being Trauma Responsive: Core Concepts
An ideal refresher course for those with a foundational understanding of this topic. This workshop will explore how to safely engage with someone affected by trauma and provide practical strategies to support their recovery.
Description
Target Audience: For those people working in the community sector or wanting to work in the community sector to assist in implementing trauma informed care and practice principles.
This course will support participants to:
- An understanding of what trauma is, and how it affects the brain.
- An ability to recognise the signs and impact of trauma and apply the principles of trauma-informed practice.
This new fully interactive face-to-face training session will be facilitated by our experienced trainer who has extensive knowledge, skills and experience in the mental health field. The course will be delivered in a four-hour session and participants will be supported to meaningfully engage with the course content
