Become an accredited Mental Health First Aider and confidently respond to adults experiencing mental health challenges or crisis.
Description
Who will benefit
People who wish to support adults experiencing mental distress or a mental health crisis.
What you’ll learn
This course will develop your confidence and skills, so you can support adults experiencing mental distress or a mental health crisis, until professional help arrives or the crisis resolves.
Over two days, you will learn about the signs and symptoms of common mental health challenges in adults, how to recognise and respond to an emerging or worsening mental health problem, and the supports available.
On completion of a short assessment at the end of this course, you will receive accreditation as a Mental Health First Aider, which is valid for three years.
