This workshop is designed to help both professionals and those touched by grief to understand its complexities and explore links with mental health and personal wellbeing.

This workshop discusses talking safely with someone who has been impacted by trauma and teaches simple strategies to support recovery, respond to someone experiencing triggers and improve the experiences of people impacted by trauma when seeking support.

This course has been designed for people who are accredited MHFA aiders and it offers the opportunity for them to extend their accreditation for a further 3 years by completing the refresher course.

This condensed half-day refresher course is perfect for those with foundational knowledge on this topic. In this course participants will revisit the topic with the focus on building their confidence in recognising and safely de-escalating situations and developing an awareness of strategies to use.

The Being Trauma Responsive course has recently been revised for delivery as a half-day online learning session and is an ideal refresher course for those with a foundational understanding of this topic. This workshop will explore how to safely engage with someone affected by trauma and provide practical strategies to support their recovery.

The De-escalation Skills course has been redesigned specifically for an online learning setting and will support workers to recognise when a person is becoming distressed or a situation is escalating. This condensed half-day refresher course is ideal for those with a foundational understanding of this topic and who is seeking practical tools and strategies to effectively respond in ways that promote positive outcomes.

Participants will learn how to recognise early warning signs in themselves and others, understand the impact of sustained exposure to trauma and apply proactive measures to reduce risk and maintain personal wellbeing.

This introductory workshop is delivered in partnership with Guest Trainer Kim Hutchinson from What Unites and offers a clear and practical overview of neurodiversity and neurodivergence in the workplace.

Participants will gain a foundational understanding of the early signs of stress and trauma exposure in themselves and others, explore the general impact on wellbeing, and be introduced to practical, preventative strategies to support personal and professional resilience.

Designed for those seeking a strong foundation, this condensed program focuses on core principles rather than in-depth appliation.

This advanced program is designed for participants who have previously completed WAAMH’s Reflective Supervision – A Non Clinical Approach foundation course. Scheduled at least 12 weeks after the initial training, this timing enables participants to consolidate foundational knowledge, apply key concepts within their practice, and return with practical insights that enrich the applied learning experience.
