A two-day interactive course, MHFA will equip you with the skills and resources to recognise and respond appropriately to someone experiencing a mental health crisis, until professional help arrives.
Description
Target Audience: Suitable for adults, in workplaces, schools, and community settings looking to support other adults.
The standard 12-hour Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course is for any interested adult. In this course you will learn how to assist an adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based action plan.
This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.
This course cost includes the Mental Health First Aid manual valued at $32.
Wellness Responder Services:
A Wellness Responder will be in attendance during training sessions, to provide support and resources to participants should they experience a physical or mental health issue.
Lived Experience Guest Speaker:
Where appropriate, a Lived Experience Person will be invited along to a training session, to share their story, experiences, and recovery journey.
