The Being Trauma Responsive course has recently been revised for delivery as a half-day online learning session and is an ideal refresher course for those with a foundational understanding of this topic. This workshop will explore how to safely engage with someone affected by trauma and provide practical strategies to support their recovery.

Increase confidence to safely de-escalate an event. This course is designed to assist in the understanding of emotional escalation, triggers, distress, sense of the adolescent self and coping strategies to effectively de-escalate an adolescent.

This advanced program is designed for participants who have previously completed WAAMH’s Reflective Supervision – A Non Clinical Approach foundation course. Scheduled at least 12 weeks after the initial training, this timing enables participants to consolidate foundational knowledge, apply key concepts within their practice, and return with practical insights that enrich the applied learning experience.
